I feel sorry for them really. Perhaps they need to bond together and form an on-line support group for mentally dealing with denial.

Because just Jack Nicholson said in the movie: "They can't handle the truth".

I have not seen any evidence of what you suggest. Republicans are well aware that Democrats won. The denial seems to be coming from Democrats in the form of misinterpretation of what voters actually said. Voter samples show that people were not voting for a Democrat agenda, but rather against the Republicans. If you believe that Democrats actually have the power at this point you don't understand the situation. Democrats control Congress, but Republicans control the White house. The Democrats do not have sufficient majorities to overturn a veto. This is what is known as a stalemate. Neither side can accomplish their agenda without the other for the next 2 years. Your statement about support groups is just hilarious because it was the Democrats who actually formed support groups following the 04 election.

Well, since Dems know the feeling so well, perhaps they can give them some hints on dealing with it from one of their own sites on the subject? ;-) They are simply getting a taste of what the Dems felt for twelve long and arduous years. Let's hope it is not shortlived, eh? We may just have enough time to raise the minimum wage and get some other legislation through that the Republicans blocked for so long a time. And the Dems will have to approach things on a bipartisan level, which I think is what the electorate indicated they want them to do. We can only hope.

At least I agree with the phrasing of your question. Libs did not win power, Cons lost it.

Somebody caught on to hacking Diebold and sniped them at the last minute, just like some of the auctions on eBay.
Sour grapes. Next time they will use an automatic vote changing service. You know, thousands of votes in the last 3 seconds before the polls close?

I don't see denial. I see acceptance on their side, and a desire to continue to gloat on yours.

What liberals are in denial about is the fact that they got elected without any real plan, and the 2008 elections are going to start pretty soon.

We're watching. Let's see how this ethical thing works out with people like "Abscam Murtha" in charge.
