The Prime Minister is now allowing people to send petitions via his website, but a spokeman says 'party political' issues like pulling troops out of Iraq will not be allowed. It's not a party issue when all three parties largely agree he got it wrong, and what's the point in pretending to be more accessible when you won't brook any discussion of one of the most important issues of the day?

Good point. He knows that it was a blunder of enormous proportions and just wants to try to avoid having to keep talking about it.
