How come Solomon only said that the world will not stand if wives are not loved? how come he didn't say that it will not stand when husbands aren't loved? Like, cos it won't stand if husbands aren't loved.

It isn't.

Madam, that's pretty inciteful; I've rarely seen such wisdom, though I do have to say that the power my wife has over me is identical to the power that wives would have had 3000 years ago so that hypothesis is simply wrong. Good but wrong.

Back in time when Solomon said this men were the heads of the house, men made all the decisions, had total control of all the money and made life good or bad for their wives.
A husband who did not love his wife was more likely to make her unhappy & miserable but one who loved his wife treated her well and she was happy.

A happy relationship affects all of your life specially your attitude so a happy person with a good, happy life can conduct his business and live better which in turn affects everyone he comes into contact with

Solomon needed love like a hole in the head, he did have 1000 wives and concubines, if I remember correctly. I bet he received all the love he needed and some more.
I wonder how he managed to love all those 1000 women/wives, or did he accept that the world will fall.

Partly because back in those days, men were only allowed to be head of the house hold. There were no questions of who wore the pants back then ;)

Personally...I am the type of person, if you show me every day that you love me, you will be shown every day you are loved. If Jay starts to retriete and slack in showing me how much he loves me, I start to withdrawl from him. I love him the same, but I become afraid I am smothering him. We have a pretty good balance, and to some extent, I still believe men should run the house hold, I don't believe in domestic violence, or controlling behavior, but a woman IMO should act like a lady, and allow her husband his right of passage. We bear the children, they bring home the bacon. :) JMO though.
