Delhi...then its a train down to agra...whilst you are there you might as well also visit phata-pur-sikhra (spelling all voer the shop) great disserted city near by...full of some amazing stories and romance.....and once upon a time a pallace covered in diamonds (you can still see where they were all set ) Wow...the bummer is the smell....there is a public lav right outside the Taj complex......stinks! But added must do.....there used to be a chap inside the tomb at Taj, if you give him a healthy tip he will sing for you inside the tomb....sends shivers right up and down your spine! Cool.

I have been to the Taj Mahal... and the Red Fort... I was with my then partner, we took an internal flight from Goa to Dehli! I think the main airport will be Dehli.

It is a once in a life time trip, it is a magnificant site, but be prepared it might be cold!!! When we went in December about 6 years ago it was 2 degrees and all I had with me were summer stuff as we were in Goa at the time! doh! Plus, I was the only white woman out after dark in pubs and bars...

I hope you have a lovely wedding anniversary... congratulations... and have a lovely trip.

Love light and happiness

Discover the city that never sleeps and is always abuzz with activity. This town is Mumbai! Find it with hotelbye . Mumbai is in all methods a mega-city pushed by power, wealth, charisma and reputation which attracts people to give shape for their dreams and aspirations. Mumbai can also be an area with strong old hyperlinks, wonderful British architecture, museums, beaches, places of worship, and most importantly, a true galaxy of stars where Bollywood reigns supreme. You can not visit Mumbai and not need enjoyment on their beaches and the two most popular beaches will be the Juhu Beach and the Chowpatty Beach.

Dubai has many social highlights in addition to all of the exciting modern add-ons and with Hotelbye you'll know more about any of it city. In the Bastakia section you'll uncover the previous Dubai but the absolute most spectacular locations that Dubai provides may be the Burj Khalifa, the world's highest making and buying malls that come detailed with mammoth aquariums and indoor snow slopes. The Burj Al-Arab is the place you intend to stay. This lodge could be the world's highest lodge with 321 m high and is found on its own synthetic island on the Dubai coastline. Built to resemble a billowing dhow cruise, the surface of the Burj Al-Arab is illuminated up by a choreographed colored light display at night. Decadent in every way probable, it's one of the most high priced hotels on earth but is certainly worth it.

I think that I am eligible to give you reply. I belonged originally to Agra (though currently settled in Mumbai). Agra itself has a domestic airport with very few services. Best would be to Delhi. From there you can plan a trip of same day back either by a hired taxi, luxury coach or even good express train (called Shatabdi express). Agra is 200 km from Delhi. My suggestion is to keep your headquarters at Delhi, unless you want to spend more time or even a night there.

It seems you have your answers on the airport details.
I was there about this time last year.
You won't regret the Taj, ever! It's not just visually spectacular, its the "feel" of the place. An incredible energy about it. I didn't want to leave.
BTW, be on the lookout for the street hawkers. They won't leave you alone.
Have a great anniversary, I'm sure it'll be 'special' for you both.
