I believe an associates degree is where you go to a Jr. College and graduate with an Associates Degree, meaning a 2 yr degree. The Bachelors degree, is a 4 yr degree from a university. I just know that there is a degree from a Jr. College that is not considered a Bachelor's degree, which mean a 4 yr degree. If you decide you want a 4 yr degree, you can apply the 2 yrs toward the 4 yr degree after you transfer over to a 4 yr college, so you do not lose it, but can add it on to getting the 4 yr degree at a university.
