If they are healthy twins, you just need a 20 calorie/ounce formula as breastmilk is on average 20 calories. Enfamil or Similac is equally fine. Hopefully you actually take them to the doctor, because they would be the person to give you advice. You shouldn't put the health of your children in the hands of uneducated people.

As an experienced mom, there's no one formula that's better than all the others. It's what your baby likes. Sign up for all the free clubs from different brands, and they'll send you free samples. Keep trying different kinds until you find the one your babies like best. EVERY baby is different. I switched to generic, because it took me a while to realize that generic has all the same stuff in it the other formulas do, and it's a LOT cheaper. :o) (Trust me, formula gets SUPER expensive!)
But just keep trying ones until you find one your baby agrees with. And if you're one of the lucky ones where your baby isn't picky about what kind of formula he has, go with the one YOU like best, for instance, the one that's the easiest to clean up once it comes back up. :o) (You'll find similac smells HORRIBLE once it's been spit up, lol)
Good luck, and congratulations on your babies!! :o)

Formula is FDA regulated; thus essentially all formulas have the same amount of ingredients. Whatever the babies like. I personally used Parent's Choice (Walmart) brand. Neither one of the babies had a problem (the youngest was breast fed for 6 wks).

Enfamil. I tried Siliamac...as soon as I opened the SEALED can...found mealworms!!!! But watch the Iron in Enfamil.....some babies have ALOT of trouble with the Iron. And also depends on how much Iron you're getting too. Otherwise you'll have two VERY constipated babies, and that's no fun for them or you!

I use Enfamil Gentlease for my son. It helps with gas and fussiness. He had no problem switching from breast milk. So talk to the doc about it and maybe give it a try.

All formulas are essentially the same.
Congrats to you on your decision to breastfeed!
