The channel ports of Normandy and Brittany are the most convenient points of entry to France by sea for destinations in the Vendee. The closest port is St. Malo, which is about three hours driving time. Caen and Roscoff are between four and five hours, while Cherbourg is about five hours. For some travellers, the Channel ports of Dieppe, Le Havre, Dunkirk, Calais or even Zeebrugge may be more suitable.

St Malo is the nearest but I use Caen it is an hour less on the ship
and a hour longer on the road. If it is a rough crossing i would rather
be on the road

Hi, I think it's Saint Malo which stays between Normandy and Britania (Bretagne).
Have a nice trip
