I'm going to London from Canada in December to see George Michael perform at Wembley Arena. The last time I went it was 15 yrs ago and I was 18. I am worried about travelling alone. How will I be able to afford a hotel if I am not splitting the cost with anyone? Also worried about the latest threats. Youth hostels aren't an option for me so I want to find a cheap but safe hotel. Also what will I do there alone? Does anyone want to share a hotel room so the costs would be cheaper? I am going for a week. Have tickets to 2 concerts and plan to find tickets to a 3rd show when I am there. I have been to London before, as I said, and that time was by myself too but I found it really lonely. Plus, right now the only way I can afford the trip is if I find a cheap hotel or can split a double occupancy room with someone! Any advice? Thank you so much. I'm a huge GM fan and hoping to find another fan who wants to share a room with me. I've been a fan since the early days.

I am amazed at your naivety, you are putting yourself in a lot of danger if you went ahead with meeting a complete stranger this way.
Believe me, a small percentage of the people who are looking at your question right now, will want to share a room with you, but not to share the cost.

My advice is go alone to London, and on the concert night get to the pubs that surround the venue early.
These bars will be packed with groups of ladies going to the concert, if you approached them and asked if you could tag along, I'm sure they would love your company.

I know it doesn't solve the hotel expenses, but at least you won't be putting yourself in danger.

Good Luck!!
