Staying focused is never easy. But is you want to see something through, no matter short term or long, there are three steps you will always take, and have always taken to make your life manifest the way it is now. HOW TO CREATE:
First: You have a thought about it. An expression of your idea.
Second: You have an action for that thought. Action are words Moving. Third: A deed. The thought action now the deed made manifest in your reality. In essence, crash course what I am saying is, to stay focused choose the same thing every time. Don't keep changing your mind about a thing. If you have a goal... stick with that goal until you are satisfied with that goal. Good luck to you.

Anindya, You are not alone in this . all of us are , in some ways.
I found that the only motivation to reach the goal is tasting success , en route , as you go along pursuing your goal. But , when the goal is far away or far bigger you donot see success much. So you tend to get disheartened.
The better way would be to split the final goal into small , small, achievable goals. These will come one after the other. This way , as you achieve one 'mini"goal you get encouragd to go with enthusiasm for the next mini goal. A sort of step by step method.
A smll example for me would be the following:
I am climbing a mountain and as I srtuggle to go up I see the peak far far away . I get disheartened. If I take route that is winding then I see only the a reacheable point. Like that in stages if I climb up I reach the peak.
so is the case with all our efforts.

A famous writer once said she stays motivated because the roof leaks, the front door needs replacing and the windows aren't so good either.
Necessity is a great motivator. That failing, want it enough that you can taste it.
Self dicipline is great too. Though some of us could use a buddy who doesn't mind kicking our butts when we lag.
One step at a time works too, knowing that you have to go through the hard stuff to get to success in the end may help.
Successful people get rich giving motivational speeches but it boils down to this. Know it, want it, get off your @ss and get it.

stay focused, by setting ur mind into the most important factors that cause u to set the goal...it must be something that is behind the making of the goal, which is truly necessary and matters to you, otherwise, there will be no goal. Try to distinguish what you want, what you have, and what you need.

Put your feet in cold water, exhaust yourself at the gym, get laid, take low grade amphetimines, if not caffeine. Sleep well. Clean your room. Get into a fight. Bake a pie and donate it to charity. Brush your teeth. Throw away the neighbor's mail. Kill the dog. Open a window. Play footsies and then stop. Write a will. Contemplate why you don't contemplate suicide.
