When an enemy is carrying ashley (she is ussless and skinny) how do i free her?

Woopsie, I gave the wrong advice to ya... I thought you were playing as ashley.
Use the Rifle and shoot em cult followers. You have to be fast, shoot their legs if they're carrying ashley.

Use the scope rifle and keep shooting the enemy untill he drops her, keep doing that

I always try to shoot her... so I've never been past that part.
