Women got the right to hold office in many democratic countries since the inception of the constitution. However, in other countries, women had no such rights until now.

Nice that you mention that the government is "messed up enough" whilst it is mostly controlled by men. Women do have periods but that doesn t make us any less capable of holding public office. Women CEOs and even women in lower positions still have monthly menstrual cycles yet they are able to HANDLE (noticed you misspelled it three times) their jobs perfectly fine. Men are often caught up in other scandals out of their own stupidity and lack of control of their sexual desires. This is in reference to the first reply.

WOW,are you going to get flack for this question lol.I agree with first answer to a point.Of course politician is different that just a job,but I am divorced and I raised my children w/o child support and little to no welfare.I went to school to learn how to drive a big rig and I get the crap out here all the time I need to be at home pregnant and barefoot where I belong.Well that would have been nice seeing that I wanted to stay at home and take care of my family, unfortunately it didnt work out that way,but it is a great job, good money as I supported and took care of my children who are now grown.
But I feel the politics should be for the men,men are logical, women are emotional.
