I'd love to see him get it. He's one of the few politicians I like & respect. Sadly, I don't think he'll get in. Instead, I suspect, we'll get another phony baloney talking suit, a John Kerry-type that's either far to the left or far to the right.
Lately, it seems, people whine and complain about how divided this country is but then we elect someone very liberal or very conservative.

i do not see any probability that a warmonger who's open about their warmongering can get elected, nor do i have self assurance a third party candidate can win. Giuliani's list shows him as an absolute psychopath, which will ward off him from prevailing because it is going to come out in a known election. Fred Thompson is boring and could be extra ineffective than Bob Dole. Romney's a Republican version of John Kerry and Kerry couldn't beat between the most unpopular presidents in historic previous. Al Gore isn't a candidate. Mike Huckabee is a religious enthusiast who would lose in a landslide Hillary Clinton will almost surely be the Democratic nominee and except adequate Ron Paul supporters invade the Republican party earlier the primaries, she will be our next president, even in spite of the actuality that she is a warmongering professional-censorship socialist nut who will be a disaster as president and would even make the Imbecile-in-chief look like a first rate president only because the moron from Texas made invoice Clinton look 1/2-first rate.

Well, that is 2 years away. Who knows. But not if myself and about 50 million other democrats have anything to say about it.
More likely, he will get beat out in the primaries once people remember how unpopular he really was, his only real claim to fame was being mayor when 9/11 hit--so he got a lot of press. People forget about his darker side, and his morals, or lack thereof--cheating on his wife while he was mayor, sleeping around with his mistress. Not the kind of guy I would want for president, but I didn't want the former drunken frat boy we got now, either.
Oh- and despite what the newsmedia, based in NYC thinks, the rest of the nation is not that sold on the idea that NYC is the center of everyone's universe. May be for the newsguys, but not for us out west.

No, he doesn't have the political weight to do it. Plus he's only known for being the mayor of NY during 9/11. You can only ride that horse for so long... he needs to start showing his political platform and that's where he'll start losing voters as they start comparing issues instead of just looking at the personality.
Right now, he's a strong candidate. Will he hold up to scrutiny over the next two years? I don't think so.... but two years is a long time in politics. Things could change.

Rudy Guliani can win because as New Yor Mayor, he was able to respond properly to 9/11. He has stability under pressure which is a good character of becoming a President.

I like him and would vote for him. He did a LOT for NYC as Mayor, crime rate dropped etc. BUT he probably has too much "baggage" with his divorce and all. All that would be brought up , investigated even more deeply, and beaten to death by the media and his opponents. I really wish all this negative campaigning and mudslinging would stop. State your platform and run on it. Also wish people would STOP voting for people because of ONE issue. Look at the whole picture..

Altho I am a conservative and Rudy is a moderate,I would vote for him in a heart beat.I know he is fiscally conservative and is tough on crime and on the war.I know he is liberal with gay rights and abortion issues, which I disagree with but he is a super guy and yes I would vote for him.

Rudy is a very good man but he doesn't stand a chance to get the nomination from neocons. He is too close to the middle on many subjects. He would make a great president.
