That is a really hard question to answer as from coast to coast in both countries you have a vast cultural spectrum.
I can say with some authority that Seattle and Vancouver are very similar. A very laid back progressive culture, a vibrant sub culture And very wet.
However you start comparing Montreal to Dallas you will get some vastly different social ideals.
Even taking two urban centres in relatively close proximity like Toronto and Detroit, you will find some massive differences in terms of culture and subculture.
The are both unique countries and allthough is some places there are similarities more times than not you will find differences.

i'm not likely to respond to about the geography yet i am going to assert something about accents. As is authentic with ALL English speaking international places (except New Zealand) the adjustments interior of each and each and every us of a are more effective than adjustments between any 2 countries. there are diverse English accents in North u.s.. those accents may be grouped by area and those areas are literally not in holding with borders. voters of Vancouver have accents indistinguishable from those of northern Washington state natives. it isn't conceivable to examine no matter if someone is an part of Calgary or Denver in holding with accent. the adjustments in English accents in Canada decision maximum from east to west and the accents found contained in the USA mirror those transformations. There ARE accents unique to areas of each and every us of a (southern drawl contained in the u . s . or Newfoundland's unique pronunciation kinds) besides the undeniable fact that. no human being will ever confuse audio device from Mississippi and Toronto. The Wikipedia article proper below is pleasing. EDIT: @ N.Visnik - You look putting forward, "All information be damned! a minimum of i'm not an American!" Please don't be so ignorant. study the information, the information and the purpose know-how of ALL experts contained in the field. It received't damage your nationwide delight to confess that the U. S. and Canada are almost similar culturally and linguistically (anglophone Canadians and individuals). Your examples keep on with purely to a slender subset of individuals and Canadians.

Vancouver is full of arrogant stupid people so it is a lot like the US.
Seriously though, I think it would be pretty much the same. Vancouver is a big city with lots of different cultures and people, lots of different industries.
Canada is different as we have free health care, better beer, hotter women, bigger but fewer provinces as compared to numerous, smaller states.

Canada is different than CANADA.
It is hard to compare. But say for your example of Seattle, in a lot of ways Vancouver is more like Seattle and not like other Canadian cities such as Toronto, Calgary or Montreal. More laid back, friendly, use to green space. (Nobody take offense to any of that - it is ways Seattle and Vancouver seem similar to me - not how it is different than the rest of Canada.) Then in some ways Vancouver is like Toronto more than Seattle. Believe in health care for all.
Say Toronto, in some ways is more like Chicago than Vancouver.

It's not all that different.
When one compares Vancouver to Seattle, one finds that there is more money in Seattle and the people support Arts and Sports more than in Vancouver. Seattle has a brand new Symphony Hall, a completely rebuilt Opera House, Two ne Sports Stadiums
and a great Theatre scene.

I'm from Mississippi and it's hot here. I went to Niagra Falls Canada and ordered a coke and they don't serve ice. I couldn't believe it then, but now I just refridgerate my 2 liters and never use ice! They didn't influence me. I just changed my habit of using ice after I lost some teeth and ice slips through the gaps!
