Shopping in Taiwan is great especially in Taipei.
The stuff are cheap depending on the currency conversion of your country.
Clothes can be cheap over there if you know where to shop, but the sizes can be a problem as it is difficult to find large sizes over there.
I love to shop for DVDs over there as it's cheaper and they have many varieties. And the quality is better.
Electronics are not necessarily cheaper.

If you want cheap stuff go to China. Taiwan is now firmly a first world country, and prices are not the bargains you might expect. Food is cheap, and extraordinarily good, but shoes, clothes, electronics are all about the same as the UK. DVDs are cheaper, especially if you go for pirated copies.

Very cool... not that I'm in Taiwan, but when I visited, everything was cheap and really fun! It's especially perfect if you like anime or stuff like that... *shrugs*
