Free will. Even with all the paradoxes inherent in that idea, it still is more viable than predetermination.

Free will is an illusion, quantum mechanics determines events, so therefore things aren't exactly predetermined 100%

Free will definitely…

And actually quantum physics prove the power we have over our situations, environment and bodies. If you don’t think so just check this study from Dr. Masaru Emoto, he uses a dark field microscope to take pictures of water crystals after manipulating distilled water with thoughts, feelings, music, etc...Check the pictures here (click on Home to find out more about the stories: http://www.hado.net/gallery.html

If after seeing this you still don’t believe in your free will and the power of our thoughts and souls in our surroundings and existence, then this is the movie for you: http://whatthebleep.com/whatthebleep/

i'd say predetermination, because i believe everything happens for a reason, but i think there are times in our lives where we can make a choice that might alter things

I'll side with Neil Peart on this one:

You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose freewill
