This doesn't seem very welcoming to me:

"The nation's Roman Catholic bishops adopted new guidelines for gay outreach Tuesday that are meant to be welcoming, while also telling gays to be celibate since the church considers their sexuality 'disordered.' "

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061115/ap_on_re_us/catholic_bishops

According to Meriam-Webster's online dictionary, "welcome" means:
"1 : to greet hospitably and with courtesy or cordiality
2 : to accept with pleasure the occurrence or presence of"

Anyone else care to jump in here?

Low-First of all, one of the commandments is, "Thou shall not kill." Yes, God made Adam and Eve, and they began to populate the Earth. I think God made homosexuals too. I don't think homosexuals are committing sin.

Yes, I realize it takes a man and woman to produce offspring. While I appreciate your imagery of a male birthing from his anus, such red herrings do nothing but distract from the arguments at hand. And of course, sex doesn't really require a male-female matchup. There are plenty of holes and pointy things that can go here and there--for the benefit and enjoyment of those involved.

By the way, I'm really not out to get the Roman Catholics. Their bishops passed guidelines Tuesday that were "supposed" to be more welcoming to gays. The article I linked to was on a current Yahoo news page. I thought it was a bit (to say the least) confusing that they claimed to be welcoming when they consider gays to be sexually disordered.

And you are still fighting the crusades if you believe in religious mumbo jumbo. They are some antiquated bunch of nincompoops that get hooked on to in-probable subjects. Why do you even listen to them. They are more confused than the average bear.

The church is still stuck in this mistake. The main reasons for this is the fact that traditionally priests, monks and nuns are not allowed to get married or have sex, so that they can devote their lives to God.

To prevent lust they were put in an all male / female surroundings. Gay and lesbian feelings break this "safe" non sexual habitat. So it was decided that gay and lesbian behaviour was sinful. This decision still haunts the church until today.

That is a pity because I feel at home with most other things in catholicism. I think they will eventually change, but it can take literally centuries for them to do so. Just look for how long it took them before they disapproved the burning of witches.

But then, what influence does it have on my every day life...I can't say I sleep less because of it.

Okay my opinions of the Catholic Church...you know the business that made (and makes) it's money from instilling guilt in the poorest people in the world...those who could least afford to give....a company led by a drag queen whose jewels and robes and artwork are paid for by those poor people...don't even get me started....

Lady, the BIBLE, in no less than four books say that if a mam use another mam as a female, both shall be stoned to death/killed. GOD made male and female, Adam and Eve, not male and male.

Nature allows for only male and female.

The only reason for sex is to bring forth life! Were you born out of some males butt hole? Do you know anyone else that was?

Of all the so called religions under Christianity, why do you only address Catholic, or other one GOD religions?
