Open up your firewall configuration and put the webcam details on the "allow" list, but it should "pick it up" automatically and ask you whether you want to allow it.
However, I have a webcam and mine doesn't need firewall access so you may not need to do anything.

You need to dissable your firewall by going into your security, go into settings, and shut off the firewall. Then install the cam and make a manual excpetion for your webcam. Sounds complicated, but it's really easy. Good Luck!!

When the web-cam app tries to connect to the Internet, your firewall should either automatically setup rules, or ask you if you wish to allow. If you are using a hardware firewall, you might need to setup the permissions there. Most hardware firewalls, such as the one in a DSL modem can be found at address 192.168.1.1 You'll need to know the password to get in.

Just install the CD. Your firewalls should ask you if you want to block or allow the program, say allow. It should install with no problems really.
