OK – the first thing is what kind of seamed stockings do you want – Full Fashioned (the most expensive type), Seamed Flat Knit or Seamed Stretch (the least expensive type)?

Full Fashioned usually has a pointed (French) heel or blocked (Cuban) heel along with the seam. Flat Knit just has the seam. These are both non stretch stockings so sizing is very important when buying them. You can also get a contrasting seam which means the seam color is different than the stocking itself. The material and weave of these stockings give you a different look and feel than a stretch stocking.

Take a look at these places for prices and photos of stockings:

Go to www.stockingstore.com. They are in the NYC area and ship the same day for 4.95. They have the largest selection of stockings I have ever seen. They ever have a special section just for seams. Select the Seamed Hosiery
link on the left.

If you go to places like Dilliards, or any other high priced store,
they always have a variety of fancy hoses. The store might be
high dollar, but the pantyhose are decent prices. The Mall in your
area should have those stores. Check there first, before you go
online. Well, that's all I know....lol
