I try to live my life by the Golden Rule. I treat others weel and live like someone is alwyas watching me. I got fired from my job and subsequently ended up homeless for 4 months. Seems like all the people in my life who have contributed (in negative ways) to where we are, are in new homes and living a great. I feel like God is absent in my life. I pray for only the things God sees fit for me, and I end up with nothing. I guess I just feel like justice has passed over me. Just wondering if anyone has been through what I am going through. Be Well and thanks for the time you put into any answers given.

don't feel bad....jesus lived by the golden rule, treated everyone great, never had a job, had no possessions, always gave away what he had, and was thanked by having people hate him, rejected by his own people had to wlak everywhere, and was tortured and killed for doing nothing but speaking the truth.

but the news gets better, because everything your rich friends have is everything that jesus was trying to warn people not to have. that's why jesus lived simply and constantly warned people that the rich are going to have a hard time going to heaven. there are many parables about it...so consider yourself lucky that you are in a situation that is closer to what jesus and his followers were in than the so called lucky ones that jesus was always pissed off at....good luck.

In order to live fully we have to experience life, sometimes we don't much care for what we experience. We get to wondering why me, what'd I ever do to deserve this?
I don't know what you did or didn't do to contribute to your state of affairs. You are a good person that doesn't mean you didn't make mistakes along the way. And sometimes sh!t happens, even to good people.
God is not a magical lamp you can rub and the geni pops out. You have to help yourself. Pray, I do too. But, if the wood box is empty you got to get up and fill it yourself, God sure ain't going to.
Take a good look at yourself, be honest about your good and bad points, we all have both. You want your own house, how can you get one? Take steps to get there. Need a new job, you'll have to hit the pavement and get one, maybe go back to school for more training. Why'd you get fired? be honest now. Don't repeat the mistake with your next one.
The difference between a success and a failure is the ability to get up one more time.

I'm sorry to hear you are going through a rough time. God never left you, look deep and pray hard and I'm sure you'll feel him warming the heart and give you strength. God loves you-but do you love yourself?
You say other contributed in a negative way, in new homes etc...
don't look upon others as you are, be pleased for them even if without yourself. Maybe you are looking through a very narrow tunnel, at others and toward yourself.
God, it must have been hard being homeless for four months, but it isn't god who made you homeless, it is circumstances. Try and look at the circumstances that has probably made you feel the way you do and while trying to dig your way out of this hole you are in, look for strength from God. Pray but not pray alone, do something to help yourself and pick yourself back up-the idea is to 'NEVER GIVE UP'. Keep fighting, keep loving and be positive. Times like now you need all the fight you can find, and the more determination you have to dig your way out of the hole, the quicker you'll do but wiser, and stronger.

We ALL get rough times, tough times and sad times thrown before us (bad luck) but we have to bring our own luck to us or try by being strong minded while trying to find it.

Don't know what else to say but please don't give up-EVER!

My prayers are with you, God Bless You! xxx

There are a lot of very wicked and bad people who are rich or famous. The rewards of living righteously may not occur in this life. God doesn't always bless you in the ways you would want to be blessed. Many times he doesn't take away your trials, he just makes you stronger and more able to handle them. You will learn more through struggles than through ease. After you are through this particular trial you will be able to see everything that you have learned. For now though, it must be tough. Be strong and always try to do the right thing. Maybe you are a modern day Job.

Take Heart! It is impossible for God to leave you. The very nature of God excludes that from happening. HE can only produce good, not bad, or SHE would not be who SHE is. HE made all things and proclaimed them GOOD. You are one of those creations and can celebrate that fact. One of the best ways to get out of your self is to concentrate on others. If you look around you will find many many people so much worse off than you. Try to serve them and relinquish your ego for a time. Then pray to thank HIM for giving your life.

I wish you strength.
No, God has not left you.
It is a lot about choices, a lot about (forgive me) positive thinking.
I have been in the same place from time to time. I without even realizing I was doing it started living each day as a continual prayer. My choices became better and so did the results.
Pick those you surround yourself with very carefully, listen to your conscience and your heart, but follow your conscience first.
God Bless you, you will be OK.

I feel like that too sometimes. All I can do is pray for strength. Strength to get me through one day at a time. He hasn't left you. Bad things do happen to good people. Have faith that things will get better. Someone told me that if you are in a place where there is opposition, then that is where you need to be. You are there for a reason. Trudge on. You will be just fine. Good luck.

Not easy.
We seem to look for God only when we have problems. Where was He when things were good?
To loose a job is bad. I know-been there.

But to ask God why? Well that proofed to be wrong. I did, only to find out I'm guilty of many problems:
Not always the good hard worker,Don't listen when others talk,
not realy church going and many other.

See, we can ask God,it is good. But be willing to ask yourself also some questions and be honest when you answer.

He is there. We just need to trust Him and stop blaming Him. Fight and ask questions, but be willing to WAIT for his answer.
Sometimes we know what to do,but need to be quiet and patient.
You will know when you do the right thing before Him.When you have a relationship with Him.Even then He sometimes "punish" you/when you decide without asking....

Yes, you need to decide what you want and how to do it.
He will not decide for you. Not always easy to understand this and even explain it. It is your decisions and relationship with Him that matters and not mine.

When you experience unfortunate things in life, well this is what I believe, there can be 3 reasons for them:

1. It's a punishment from God for you have done wrong things, whether you realize it or not.

2. It can be a warning before you do something worse.

3. Or, it can be a test to lift you up to be a better person. It like going to school, you got to do the exams before you move on to the upper grades.

But one thing for sure and be sure, God NEVER leave us.

God will never leave you if you don't loose faith in him. Trials of life keep coming but the one with faith sustains by faith alone.
There have been many saints in India who had nothing to eat yet they never gave up their faith in god .Ultimately they were vindicated to the world. Good and bad are part of life. No one enjoys the world 100% . More the money, more the misery.
Pray ardently and surrender yourself at god,s feet. You will survive and see peace and happiness. When God comes into your heart sadness cannot remain there
