hey there if you notice your car is using more fuel and its running a little rough then you need new spark plugs and wires and i always put a new disribitor cap and rotor on too and if it still runs bad like its cutting out you might need a new fuel filter too do all of this for a tune up and if you are seeing you engine light on look for the fuse and pull it out and replace with a new fuse that should help you out hope this was good info for you good luck

Remove the plug and look at it. A good plug will have an electrode that is flat accross. If it is old and need replacing the tip will be rounded oveer and short.

The car will 'miss' under throttle. Just one plug burnt or fouled will cause this.
Standard plugs under normal circumstancs will last about 20,000km or more. Platinum plugs will last about 100,000km.

Since it's a 95, and if you don't know whether they've ever been changed, I would have them done. I doubt it's causing your light to come on.
