i have always thought the best gift for a supervisor is something like a gift certificate to a nice restaurant.....its nice without being too personal and it also dosent make you look like a brown noser ...Merry Christmas

If you work for someone, make sure that the gift is not too extravagant.

If he owns a house, a Home Depot Gift Certificate is a nice safe gift. Bookstore certificates are as well. If you want to get hima funny present, a stress toy is kinda cool, and will help him get past the rougher days on the job.

A massage certificate is good if you have a spa nearby...

My theme here is stress relief gifts, but I'm sure you can go with another theme.

Simple answer gift certificate to local mall or to a favorite eating establishment. If you know the person's like's dislikes a nice CD, DVD, Wine or whiskey is a nice touch and can ll be under $20. If you go over the $20-$30 range then it may set off some alarms.
