Hi
Don't worry about it. I put my electric fry pan underwater and in the dishwasher all of the time. Then use it straight away. I find the easiest way to keep it clean is in the dishwasher. The water will not harm the element.
regards

Some are immersible and some are not- the skillet and griddle I have are both submergible- it should say on the bottom of the fry pan- D

Don't put the element in water.
It will most likely not work the next time.

nope...just give it a day or two before you use it and turn it upside down and let it dry out.. My mother used to do this with all kinds of appliances that I thought she was going to ruin..never did ruin them.. what were they thinking when they made such things.. didn't they know we needed to wash them lol
