True but the last 20-30 years or so Texas has had good teams. Oklahoma, Miami, Nebraska, Florida State all have better records than the schools you mentioned over the last few decades. Plus you know how college football is: You see people jumping up and down shouting "we're #1" when they win a game, even if thats the only win they have had during a season.

Well I dont particularly care for Texas teams at all college or professional ones but I think that it is great that they display such spirit even when they have teams that often times are not all that great. You can say all you want about Texans but they support their sports teams through good and bad and I think thats how fans should be. Hell I am a 49er fan and they suck *** but I have been a fan for at least 25 years now and will always be one. I live in Arkansas and here we have the upside down horns, and we have great fans here as well and Arkansas is not ranked that high either.

Texas is still better than 95% of all colleges, every single year. That, and they are the defending national champs for another month and a half. I can live with it as long as they are winning. The best is when the male cheerleaders give the horns while the team is down at the end of a game.

That kind of makes me wonder where Dad was during years 4-16.

Yes, but apparently the idea of school spirit seems too abstract a concept to be understood by their alumni.

texas may only have 4 national championships, less than the schools u mentioned, but there are i think 119 division 1A teams.
texas is 14 on that list, lets do the math................that makes them better than 106 other division 1A teams..................that is something to be proud of aint it?also the horns are third in victories, third in winning %,2nd in bowl appearances............do i need to go on?
so how come we cant be proud of our school and display our hook'm horns sign?

Why the "hook'em stuff" ??? Because they aren't fair weather fans..... (the absolute *worst* kind of fans on the planet).

Yeah, Hook'em Horns ... you go, baby!
