I don't think it's a good idea for you to ask him out because it's your best friend's boyfriend! About the flirting, you didn't know about it so it's all right but if you ask him out...you might lose both of the guy and your best friend. I say don't risk it.

hey I had the same thing if you Talk to your best friends about her telling him a lil about u you can xhange e-mails start out e- mailing each other no so far thoughg wait like 3 months if you and him will kinda start opening up to each other just tell him " hey me and my friends are going to the movies you wanna come?" is he says nah i reccomend you guys stay friends
