Their best teams always get crushed when they play non-conference powerhouses like USC, Michigan and Ohio State? i mean USC blanked Auburn 3 years ago in Auburn with a rookie quarterback in Matt Leinart and your conference top dog Arkansas was routed by USC in Arkansas this season, in the first damn game.

Why? Why? why?!?!!?!?!?!

florida's schedule? c'mon now.

southern miss, UCF, kentucky, vanderbilt, and west carolina? are you kidding me? two conference USA opponents and a divison 2 opponent? get real. that schedule is WEAK. and you guys almost lost to unranked south carolina! auburn, tennessee and LSU are respectable. okay so you have 3 ranked teams on your schedule.

USC has arkansas, nebraska, oregon, cal, and notre dame which makes 5.

just sounds like sour grapes to me!

Well, let's see. Here are the records of the three teams you noted, USC, Michigan, and Ohio State, vs. the best teams in the SEC:

USC: 2-5 vs. Alabama, 3-1 vs. Arkansas, 2-1 vs. Auburn, 0-1-1 vs. Florida, 3-0 vs. Georgia, 1-1 vs. Louisiana State, 1-1 vs. South Carolina, 4-0 vs. Tennessee

Michigan: 2-1 vs. Alabama, 1-0 vs. Arkansas, 1-1 vs. Auburn, 2-0 vs. Florida, 1-1 vs. Georgia, never played Louisiana State, 1-1 vs. South Carolina, 0-1 vs. Tennessee

Ohio State: 0-3 vs. Alabama, never played Arkansas, 0-1-1 vs. Auburn, never played Florida, 0-1 vs. Georgia, 1-0-1 vs. Louisiana State, 0-2 vs. South Carolina, 0-1 vs. Tennessee

I'd say that that doesn't qualify as always. Besides, SEC and Big Ten teams seem to go out of their way not to play each other in non-conference play outside of the bowl games, because the SEC is too busy playing Sun Belt teams and the Big Ten is too busy holding off the mighty MAC. There was a grand total of 1...

ONE

Big Ten-SEC meeting this year, and that was Michigan vs. that SEC powerhouse, Vanderbilt.

I agree...I'm a Big East fan (Syracuse Orange :( ) and I cant stand all the hype year in and year out with the SEC. I think it has to do with the history of the SEC...With Alabama when bear bryant was around, florida with steve spurrier, etc etc. I'll always claim the Big East is the best, just because I am bias...but I know down deep they arent the strongest conference.

Florida and Arkansas are impressive this season though

USC Clould not go throw this season without a least two or three losses If they had Florida's schedule. The pac 10 is weak look at CAL they got beat by Tenn the first game of the year. Oh yea Arkansas was with out their star running back in that game. Thanks try again

I know and I love that arguement about we know the Big East isn't strong because they just go around beating each other. WTF? Doesn't that simply mean they don't have a powerhouse team maybe. That they are all so strong that one can't just run over everyone else? I guess if you have a confrence like the PAC-10 when USC was killing everyone it makes your confrence strong. I say when you can win the non-Confrence games it says more for you then when you have one team in Confrence that dominates and a bunch of weak teams.

Well, I am a SEC fan and I don't think SEC fans believe they always have the best teams. What they do claim along with almost all sports writers is that they have the toughest conference year in and year out. It is extermely difficult to run the table in the SEC.
