Hey dude, I'm adopted also and think my Mom also had that operation, but I was long gone and didn't notice any change in her. The older she gets the mellower and nicer she becomes: something to look for in old age! Now she's 84 and still trukin, although having trouble hitting the speed limit.
I didn't know much about ADHD until I just Googled it, but based upon the "symptoms" listed in Wikipedia, I definitely suffer. Damn, until I read this question, I thought I was perfectly normal. Maybe ADHD is normal!

most doctors put women on hormone therapy after a hysterectomy to help regulate the hormones it is a very common surgery . No having a hysterectomy won't influence any behaviuoral problems and if you were adopted how could it.

specifically:
A hysterectomy is a surgical removal of the uterus, resulting in the inability to become pregnant (sterility). It may be done through the abdomen or the vagina.
you can read more in the link below about a hysterectomy specifically...
as for the issues at home, without knowing what the problems were.... it is hard to say.

not sure you can blame it on that.
A hysterectomy is a removal of the uterous and sometimes the overies.
She might of gone through menapause which can cause some emotional mood swing.
You most likely inhereted some of your issues from your birth parents. I have a daughter who is adopted.....and she has some emotional and ADHD. But I still love and adore her.
Take good care of yourself. When it comes rigfht down to it you gotta take care of you.

YES!!! My wife had one and now has more health problems than she ever did before. Also it causes the hormones to go crazy. Not saying this is the cause of all your mom's problems but could DEFINATELY be a contributing factor.
