Right click on the drive and select properties.

That will depend if it is partitioned or not
START
Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Computer Management
Disk Management
And look at the disk drive number(s)
the first disk is 0
other disk will be 1, 2 etc
and if the drive is partitioned, then the partitions will be under C: (Drive 0)

or

you can use FDISK from DOS, and look at the partions there, on some compaqs there is a Non-DOS partition where the Diags are loaded.

If you are running windows xp, right click your my computer icon and then click manage.. then go into disk management- this should have all the necessary tools you need to know about your hard disks, the partitions and the file format and size

Right click on My Computer>manage>device maanager>
disk drives>then you can get your drive serial number.
ignore first 3 letters and read only the numbers.this is your hard drive capacity.good luck.

Wow 250 MG is so low! When was that? Mine (actually ours) was 20 GB. My own one was 80 GB at first but soon I needed an external hard disk!

Assuming you're using Windows XP, click on "My Computer", and click once on your C: drive. On the left, it'll show some details on the drive, including the total space and free space on the drive.

My Computer right click C Drive or hatever letter u have it as and click on properties and it will give you alot of info

(assuming your using windows xp) go to my computer and hold the mouse over the local disc (C:) icon. A popup will tell you total and used capacity.
