very textile. You could do some fun things in those directions in adobe illustrator, or in the textile designs, wallpaper, prints, drafting, ... etc.

you're very geometric, you should certainly check out the golden mean: http://www.americankangdukwon.com/images/golden_rectangle.gif (first one i found)... i am an art director, whenever i am having layout problems i pop that thing on top and it really helps... learn, live, love the golden mean.

also for sure, andy goldsworthy, m.c.escher, yayoi kosumi, ellesworth kelly. ... there are so many...

and check out.. jees i could drop a million sites here... just look up "textile design" and "minimalism"(in the arts)

and also design sites: http://mocoloco.com/ http://www.notcot.com/

go to a bookstore and pick up some design mags, look up "ornamentalism"

ok i'll stop, yes of course you have potential... finding the beautiful in the hard, geometric, flat, aesthetic is a great talent... see where it takes you.... and always always always... do millions of these and 10 or 20 will come out right.... when you are questioning your design skills, that is when you are on the verge of a break-thru.... as hard as it may be.... and 3 yuears from now you'll look back at these and say, "what the heck was i thinking" but only because by then you'll have gone so much further.

in terms of an art school, i'd diversify a bit... show a broader range... you're too young to have a "style" you'll always have "your look" but don't have a"style"till you try everything... and you'll never try everything...

and sorry i meant the golden ratio or the golden rectangle ... golden mean is different... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio (it will look crazy... but if there is a god, this is her perfect design... and it is in everything)

oh and don't be so highstrung, you'll get an ulcer... jk

Very nice shape abstracts. Have you ever considered learning how to sew quilts? I think you have the potential to create some real originals that have not been seen before ;)
You can sell quality properly made quilts for a good chunk of change- people pay hundreds of dollars for quilts made in West Virginia, the old way with handsewn, handtacked quality. There are many quilt shows that offer you a chance to get ribbons, prizes and recognition. see the site below to see some prices for different styles of quilts.
I hope you consider this just one of the many possible areas you can try because you are talented.

I think alot of us went through that geometric drawing stage to pass the time in school. One guy in my art class went on to be a car detailer...not cleaner, he now paints automobiles and bikes for a living. I think he went on to college to perfect the airbrush skills (this was back in the 80's) before he went in to business with someone else and now ownes his own place. His work is outta this world. If you really are in to your artwork..that is you feel it is a calling and you think you can put your heart in to it, I'd say look into pursuing a career in it and mabe doing one-of-a-kind auto designs for people who want custom work. Good luck with it!

Some of them are derivative, but a few seemed quite original. Maybe you should get a design degree and then apply at some textile or home dec design firms.

I like them. I agree with those who suggested textile design.

Good luck to you
