Think about good things. I was told that your brain trys to resolve problems while you sleep, if theres something thats bothering you it can cause nightmares. Or if your afraid of something like my son was afraid of his first day of school, he dreamed a bus drove though the house. Just try to resolve your issues, and face your fears, the more issues you have the more nightmares you might have.

I don't want to promote behavior i shouldn't be but opiate pain killers have a common side effect of "vivid dreams" usually nightmares that feel extremely real for some people. some other legal and and prob illegal drugs may have the same effect.

Eat a lot and then go straight to bed. I always have nightmares when I go to bed with a full stomach. I guess that's better than getting heartburn.
