The original snuff is the same thing that is smoked in Hokas, a very strong mixture of tobacco. It is not Tobacco Chew. It is snuffed into ones nostrils.

The kind used from a snuff is tobacco, dried and ground very fine. A little was snuffed up the nostrils to get a nicotine lift.

Did your cat previously use the litter box and only recently started peeing elsewhere? Without knowing this, my suggestions would be that she could be trying to communicate something to you. The litter may be a bad brand. You could try changing the brand to a different clumping litter, cleaning the box itself, adding a little baking soda to the cat litter. Some cats will avoid a litter box just because they don't like the "feel" of certain cat litter. Be sure to scoop it every day to eliminate the litter box as the problem. If you have a cover on your litter box, remove it. Not all cats can tolerate the closed quarters or the lack of fresh air around their box. Some cat foods are high in Ash which can lead to urinary problems. Try changing the food and get a recommendation from your vet about which are low in Ash (or just read and compare labels.) Most fish flavored foods seem to be high in Ash content. Also, if you've recently added other pets to the household, this could be behavior problems relating to the new addition to the family. My cats will deliberately do things in front of me which they know are bad behavior when they are trying to express something to me - like a dirty litter box, not enough food, water isn't "fresh", etc. Lastly, how about adding a couple litter boxes in some key, obvious places to encourage use. Regarding UTIs, your cat could have stones as well. So definitely see your vet, particularly if your cat was already litter trained. If its a UTI and it is bad, your cat may stay squatted for an unusually long time and her pee might be red tinged (which is obviously very bad!).

There are other meanings to snuff (other than what is already said) that are graphically sexual and/or violent. Check out the urban dictionary site for more info http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=snuff
