I love to shop at them. I am always up to a good deal. It is always a surprise what you might find their. I have outgrown alot of my clothes (unfourtanately). Just last week I took three large bags of beatiful or excellent condition clothing to a Goodwill Store. That is a type of recycling that I also like to do. Plus the profits that the store makes goes to help people with special needs.

It's the best thrift store I know of I buy all my work clothes there except boots, I pay premium for them. And sometimes I find some nice jeans that fit with the tags still on, good score for $9.99 for a pair of 30-40 dollars retail
and always find some treasure one time found a Rolex knock-off for 12.99 and it worked. I really believe they do good for the community by helping disadvantaged people some new to this country providing schooling and sometimes giving them their first job here.
I always wonder how a reverse language program would work by teaching Americans the languages of India, Russia, Mexico, Cambodian Thia kind of symbiotic classes, and Goodwill could generate another source of income, haven't heard anything about that, I just thought of it,
I have no problem helping supporting their cause.
Thank-you for my say.

Great place to find stuff you won't find anyplace else. Going to an 80's party, hit the goodwill for the outfit. Looking for outdated books, that you meant to read but never got to? Goodwill. I found a Louis Vuitton "Alma" bag (in amazing condition) at our goodwill, and paid a whopping $3.95 for it. I checked and it is authentic, but even if it would have been a knock off it still would have been worth the less than 4 bucks I paid for it. Lots of folks think Goodwill stores are not a great place to be seen. I could care less, I have gotten a ton of comments at work about my Louis bag.....Folks ask me how much it was, where I got it around here, etc....When I tell somebody the truth, they either look horrified, or don't believe me...I say whatever, I paid less than 4 bucks for an 880.00 dollar bag, the jokes on them to be sure.

They're a great place to shop if you're looking for some ecclectic styles.
They're a great place to shop if you're looking for a bargain. Can you beat Calvin Klein shorts (not men's boxers) for US$0.10c?
They're a great place to shop to assist the needy instead of lining the pockets of the already wealthy.

They're a fantastic place to shop & sell when you're travelling the world & need a dramatic wardrobe change in a hurry & for not much money..eg. Siberia to Mexico!

Some of my favourite clothes come from goodwill stores & street markets.

Sometimes the shops & clothes don't smell all that great, but that's what YOUR washing machine is for.

Probably all goodwill stores are run by people who give friends & family first pick of what's donated. That peeves me!
That aside, I support goodwill stores 100%!
