Heres the senerio: Someone is going to hurt/abuse/kill someone else, and they have them in their grip, how do you stop them, how do you convince them to stop. And worse, if you know they will go on to hurt abuse kill others, are you responsible for not stopping them?
And last so we have no confusion here, this person, is someone you love.
This is totally hypothetical, it is a philosophical question I would like to see better worded.
Also I would love to hear your answers.

With anyone who imagines themselves above the law and would hurt others its always a good thing to remind them that fifty year old murders and yesterdays killings are being solved daily because the forensics have improved greatly. Also, remind them that when caught they will spend time with others more lawless then they are. As to responsibility, you could be put in jail as an accomplice, or worse yet, be killed next, simply because scociopaths have no loyalties.
