He scored 102 runs in 40 balls with the help of 6 fours and 11 sixes in the 6th Match K.C.A. Centenary Tournament played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at Gymkhana Club Ground, Nairobi on 04.10.1996.
Pakistan won that match by 82 runs. Afrida was the Man of the Match.
