Recently I found a profile for my husband on this site, www.fling.com Its a adult personal ad site. He swears he didn't create it and that he was signing up for some online game where they create your character based off what you look like... so he sent this game a picture of himself. Well during the process of signing up for this game there were all these popup ads and he must have accidentally clicked yes to one of them (the fling.com one) and they created an account for him. I want to believe him but it sounds pretty far fetched and I don't want to be that stupid girl who can't see that her husband is a cheater. Has this happened to anyone else or do you know if this is actually possible?
I checked his account with them and it said he hadn't logged on since the account was created so that's why I am wondering. He has also since emailed them and they have removed his ad, but they won't admit to creating the personal ad themselves.

Ask him which online game ask for a real picture of yourself. And is the picture the same as you would have on a personals website or is it game-like. By game-like, I mean most gaming sites that you put in a picture you don't use you real picture, you use a cartoon-ish image or a picture of your eyeball, etc. That is, you usually don't use a full picture of you. I would also ask for the gaming website and sign up for it yourself. See if you see the pop-ups he talks about. If he can't remember the web site, he BS-ing you. If you upload a picture of yourself, you remember the site.

The good news is that he may not be cheating on you. Most of the time those websites force you to setup a profile to see the girls, so it could be that he wanted to see the girls pictures. Perhaps, not the nicest thing for you to find, but let's face it - all men check enjoy checking out girls even if they have no intention of hooking up with them. It's embarrassing to admit you were checking out chicks, even if all guys do.

Wow, that's a tough one.....I honestly don't know what to think. You should try signing up for the same game that he did and see if the same happens to you. If I was in the same situation I'd figure out a way to contact the operators of fling.com and find out if someone's account can really be created without that person's consent. It doesn't even sound as if its legal to me, I hope everything works out for the best......

If you know how to look or know someone who knows a little computer forensics, you can find everytime he visited that site. The history is on your computer hard drive. I found every place my ex-husband had been to doing that, and he still denied it. Sometimes you can find the sites with key strokes if you have your computer set just right, when you hit a certain letter key, the site will drop down from the window of the search engine.

This hurts, which is why you want to beleive him. It's called denial, and most off us would do the same thing.

His line about the game is complete crap. You can't just hit a button and information and pictures are moved throughout the internet.

Get him to fess us and figure out what his intentions were and why. Don't chase him away, but solve this problem now and go to counseling if it turns out to be something you cannot talk through on your own.

Good Luck.

Just keep a close eye on him. It could be that he was just curious. Sometimes these sites are hard to believe they exist and it could be that he just wanted to take a peek.

Just in case, take a screenshots of any evidence you find.

(Press control + print screen, paste it in "paint" and save it on a CD)

My boyfriend told me the same excuse, that he didn't create it. (I found a profile of him, on a website,) Of course I didn't believe it, that's just bull***, I got really mad, up this day he denies he did it, but I know he did it.
