they will be selling on launch date but have limited stock...and im planning on goin there around 12:00pm the day b4...

Wal-mart will be selling maybe 5 PS3's you'd have better luck going to a Gaming Store(Eb, Gamestop) but since there are only 40,000 coming to U.S. there may be no possibility of getting one anytime soon.So you'll need to Pre-order

around me walmarts are 24 hours so no need to worry bout a midnight opening
if you do not have one preordered, do not go to gamestop or EB...i guarantee you will not get one there
more and more with almost every game that comes out, gamestop only gets what they have preordered for like the first week...i learned that the hard way with guitar hero 2

Overpriced... What great titles do they have at launch? Doesn't play some PS2 games- I'll wait and see what it looks like. Could wind up being another mediocre system, like the Xbox 360.

The Walmart nearest to me is having a midnight opening, but I don't know about yours. I suggest you call them and ask them all about it- when are they opening, how many they are getting, etc.
Oh and the U.S is getting 400,000 consoles, not 40,000, I'm not sure if it was a typo or not, but the answer saying 40k is wrong.

the only way to get one, is to reserve it, if you do that no one can get it the one u reserved. they sell fast.
