was anyone able to buy final fantasy 3 for the nintendo DS today? i live on the eastern seaboard and nobody in my area had it on the shelf!!! target said the status of the game was "in store" but it was nowhere to be found!!! is this squares fault? why did EB games tell me that just because the comertial said the release date was today, that doesnt mean anyone would have it in stock, and that tomorrow would be when they got it in to the store. this is bull crap!! i want my game!! final fantasy 12 for the playstation got released the same day square said it would, and there was no problems at all getting it on halloween when it came out!! WTF!!!

usually release dates are actually the days that the game is shipped to stores - and they usually get there the next day.
for big events, like FFXII was expected to be, those are rushed for release
i got my FFIII today, wednesday, the day they were first supposed to be sold without any problems

Commercials lie. They probably shipped it today and the stores will receive them tomorrow. Try contacting Square Enix for more information.

Try target's website or Walmart's but you'll have better luck there. I had to do the same thing with Lumines II for the PSP. I live in mass and i couldn't find it in my area at all.
