Why are Asian people so smart?

I know some aren't and it could be a stereotype but why is it that a majority of them are...

coz education is embedded into their brains and theyre taught to learn and get everything right or else theyre deemed unfit for society. and they know that they have to get good marks in school and that so that they can get a decent job, with the market being so competitive and all. if they dont get a job, then they have nothing to fall back on coz there is no dole or social securities or anything for them.

Well, me, being a perfectionist, over-achieving Asian would say it's the way I'm raised.
And I know that most Asian parents are very "success-driven" and want their children to do very well in school, jobs, and life in general.
I'm also guessing that since a lot of Asian parents are immigrants, they want their child to have a better life than they did at childhood, because in Asia, a lot of people are living in poverty and cannot afford to go to school.
Well, my mother couldn't have a lot, so she wants me to be successful in life to support my children, to support myself, etc.

It's no that Asians are smarter. They have a more-success driven culture that teaches them to excel especially in Korea and Japan. If you notice, Eastern culture enfores good technical abilities, while Western culture enforces more creative abilities. Unfortuantely, in the US, we're pretty much the opposite of Asian when it comes to that. Imperfection is acceptable and for the most part we have "that's good enough" attitude. Comparing US to Asia are two extreme example. I would say that neither example is healthier but considered "better or smarter" in a success-driven culture.

Cause there culture is so perfect. They are like perfectionists. They also have the highest suicide rate. Cause their parents are very strict on them about everything.
