I've been TTC 4 like ever now and my period was 3 days late n now I have dark brown bleeding and bad cramping

Yea this has happened to me - I get it at the end of my period (the 4th and 5th day. It's just older blood - that takes awhile to come out.

Brown bleeding is just dead blood....while your uterus was waiting for your cervix to open enough the uterine lining was already flushing away from the walls of the uterus. Bright red blood is fresh...that's the only difference....If you were having incredible pain with it...then I would worry...otherwise your fine.

Had a girlfriend who went through this. Her Ob-Gyn told her it was a shedding of the uterus due to an iron deficiency. He put her on an Iron supplement and in a few days, it cleared right up. In your case, you need to see a doctor to find out for sure.
