Anything wrong with Zoroasterianism? why has it practically perished?

Hmmmm, so Zoroasterians should not marry outside of their faith. Kind of like most of Judaism I think.

Do they have any other strange beliefs?

Well, that's because Zoroasterianism has very strict rules. Zoroasterians are only allowed to marry other zoroasterians, and if they choose to marry outside their religion, then they are immedeately ex-communicated, and so are the offspring. As a result, a lot of people who were born into zoroasterianism lose their religion after marriage. Thus, the number of zoroasterians has reduced over the years.

Zoroastrianism is a strange religion. They do not teach their religion to anyone outside of the original strain. The religion is basically extinct because they don't allow "new people" to join. You can only be born into this faith. Soon it will die out and they will be no more. Which is, if you think about it, a very sad state of affairs...Any loss of any type of knowledge is sad.

Zoroaster (Zarathustre) worte his Avesna Yasnas (Religious poems) accodring to his own belief.

Not only he didn't have a solid and strong creation myth, his idea of a single god battleing all the wickedness of the other - false - gods was not one that was popular at the time.

I wasn't structured enough, basicly his religion was the ramblings of an underpaid, stoned herder.
