Would you sacrafice yourself, life or time, possessions or anything else, for the safety or wellbeing of someone you don't even know? I think I would. I've done it before in smaller ways then giving up my life, but if I had the choice I probably would. I try to live putting others before myself. I can't always but I try. I find peace of mind in it somehow.

yeah sure. there are an infinite number of situations that fall under your specifications; i'm sure that there are many that would be worth sacrificing oneself for, even for a stranger. it's not that much different, or even the same in some cases, as sacrificing ourselves for an idea or an ideal; we do that all the time.

I would like to believe that I would. Though I'm not religious I like the saying, There is no one better than he who would lay down his life for another.
