I have a 7 month baby. he doesn't really like to eat rice porridge. what food that I have to give to him?I have tried to give him hommade food but he doesnt like it. I need a good menu for him because he is easy to get bored with his daily food. is that okay if he only drinks formula milk without helping food?

breastmilk & formula are sufficient till 1 year of age. Food at this stage... *up till 1 year* is just for fun & experience in eating.
He will come around & love it. Most children really enjoy the baby oatmeal though... tastes better than the rice.

Basically one a child reaches 7 months you can offer finger foods.. if supervised carefully. And watch diaper to make sure it is mostly digested. This includes cooked green beans, peas, carrots, & pears, apples, peache dices. Ect. The gerber puffs & teething bisquits are good starters too. Never look away though.

Whatever you try stay away from anything labeled "dessert" in the baby foods. these are loaded w/ sugar & no infant needs that. Let them learn to eat correctly!

Don't push.. let your child lead you & you will always have a happy healthy baby!

Good Luck!

Some babies are just picky eaters. Make it a point to try baby foods here and there so over time he can develop a taste for these things. As for him eating what ever you eat... not exactly. Children under one year should never have honey because of botulism dangers nor should they have regular milk or peanut products to avoid developing allergies. I would stick with what a pediatrician suggests.

He doesn't need to eat anything but formula or breastmilk at this age. Just keep offering and eventually he'll catch on. 7 months is still really young, many babies don't get into solids until they're closer to a year, sometimes older.

No, at this age they need the nutrients in real food. If he's hungry enough he will eat; be sure to feed him before the formula, when he's really hungry. Try baby oatmeal instead of rice, I prefer it and so do all my babies. Buy one bottle of lots of different kinds of baby food and try them all till you hit on a few he willingly eats--probably fruit would please him the most.

have you tried mixing the rice cereal with different fruits or fruit juices? Maybe he just needs something a litlle sweeter? Or change it up a bit and give him something new...like the last person said, try sphagetti. Its messy and fun.. good luck

he can eat whatever u eat (within reason of course) but there is nothing wrong with him getting most of his nourishment from formula because he is still young. plus a lot of kids get tired of baby food quick so try spaghettios or something from chef boyardee
