In a 2 GB...well if it's an ipod...it means it can hold like 500 songs!!...b/c i have a 4GB ipod and that hold 1000 songs...so i hope it helps

it all depends on the bit rate of the song but normal would be around 500 for medium range quality songs

Lets assume all your songs are in 128kbps format (standard cd-quality).
If your average song length is short (2:20 minutes) each song is about 2mb. meaning it can hold 1000 songs.
If your average song length is normal (around 3:30) each song is about 3mb. meaning it can hold around 650 songs.
If your average song length is a bit longer (around 5:00) each song is about 4.5mb. meaning it can hold around 450.

500, dont listen to the 1,000 thats not right 1000mb is 1gb and 2gb is 2,000 mb!!!!! duh every one knows that lol hope i helped!
