My wife has gotten into the online game second life. She stays up all night playing it. I ask her to come to bed and she tells me she will be there soon. She comes to be just before dawn. She hides what she is doing online from me (clicks off of it when I come close). I finaly did catch her having vertial sex in the game. I told her how it bothered me and she replied that it is just a game.

Now she has told me she is leaving me. I have been told all her friends thinks she should take our child and leave me. I can only asume that these are online friends because she is online all the time.

Has any one else lost a loved one to an online affair and how did you handle it? I asked her to go to marraige counceling, but she has refused to. I am going. I am learning alot about me and her and our problems. But I am only half of the relationship.

I have even had many suisidal thoughts. My mind is my worst enamy right now. The pain is out wheighing my resources to cope with it.

Help!!!!!

I am SO sorry that you are going through this right now. Your wife is definitely addicted to the internet and needs help. However, she can't get help if she can't admit that she has a problem. You need to document all that you know and all that you have. You should also have your hard drive analysed in case a judge might need some proof.

Since you have had suicidal thoughts, you must know that you have depression. Please get help for this and get medicated. You're not going to be able to do this on your own.

If she wont go to counseling with you then its over. Cheating on-line and off-line are the same. Right along with phone sex. If its not your mate your doing these things with then its cheating. If your hiding and sneaking things on the computer, then it would be the same if you where hiding and sneaking to a hotel room with someone else. Look out for you and look out for your child. Your wife has a major problem with addiction of the Internet.
Good Luck and remember suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Good Luck!

I thought that was for kids only. My husband was soliciting sex online and I put him out.
