in some states that law is still on the books, but i am pretty sure no one enforces it, you know like it is illiegal to spit on the sidewalk but who ever got a ticket for that? Sodomy is illegal in alabama even if both parties are consenting.

I agree with it just me. Half of the country will be prosecuted if there was a law for committing adultery.
I do not think there is any state that would try to prosecute anyone in this generation for that. It may not be right, but look around, how do you know that your next door neighbor does not commit adultery.

For some religions like Islam, under Islamic laws, 2 persons of opposite sex found alone in a room could be prosecuted under "Khalwat" or what is known as close proximity. Therefore, your question depends on which country you reside in. But in general, most countries do not have laws that control what a man and woman does outside the confines of marital knot.

There may be some states that still have a law like that on the books, but i doubt anyone would be prosecuted for it. A few years back, Texas still had sodomy laws and two gay men were arrested. That law was eventually ruled unconstitutional.
