Your Intense Moisturizing Cream can be applied after or in place of your Age Fighting Moisturizer. If you have very dry skin, like me, you'll find that together they give you a hydration boost with out being heavy or greasy.

Also, some of my customers use the IMC exclusively in the dry winter months and the AFM for the rest of the year.

As a caution, I would advise against buying Mary Kay products on eBay as you have no idea who you're getting them from or how they've been stored or for how long. Purchases like this are not covered by the Company's 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Active Consultants with the company are not permitted to sell on eBay so you've most likely purchased from someone who is not even a Mary Kay consultant. There's no telling how they got a hold of the products! :-) Be Careful!

If you're looking for a way to get Mary Kay products at a significant discount, ask an active Mary Kay consultant about current specials, promotions, and offers. You'll know she's active because at the very least she has a MaryKay.com email address, which is available to all consultants whether they have a computer or not. She may even have a MaryKay.com web address, which is the only way the company authorizes the sale of the products via the internet. Not all consultants have a website, it's an option, so it doesn't mean she's not legit just because she doesn't have a website, but she should at least have a MaryKay.com email address.

Best Wishes!

The intense moisturizing cream is actually a HYDRATOR, not a moisturizer. It is meant to be worn over your moisturizer, not in place of it. If it feels too rich - then you can switch to the oil-free hydrating gel instead of the intense. Let me explain.

Moisturizers and Hydrators actually function differently. They act on different parts of your skin, and cannot be used interchangably. The best way I can explain it is the difference between drinking water and taking a shower.

When you drink water, you internally hydrate your body - but it does nothing for your outer layer of skin. That is what moistuizers do. They internally hydrate the deepest parts of the pore and skin cells. When you take a shower, you externally hydrate - doing nothing for the inner layers, but refreshing and adding moisture to the outermost layer of skin. That is what a hydrator does. It keeps moisture close to the surface of your skin, filling in fine lines, smoothing out the outermost layers, and making everything healthier with oxidation.

Some women choose to use the oil-free hydrator during the day, and the intense moisturizing cream at night. I personally use the oil-free product day and night. It depends on how dry your skin is, and the time of year...in most cases the intense moisturizing is not necessary both day and night.

The correct sequence of products is:

Day...
Cleanse
Microdermabrasion (2xper week)
Replenishing Cream (only after Microderm)
Day Solution
Age-fighting Moisturizer
Hydrator - oil-free or Intense
Eye Cream

Night...
Cleanse
Night Solution
Age-fighting Moisturizer
Hydrator
Eye Cream

What the previous consultants shared with you about Ebay is absolutely true. Please consider purchasing your products from an actual Mary Kay person - we are not allowed to sell on Ebay as a violation of our contracts. Chances are the products you received are either old, or could be damaged. They also do not have the customer satisfaction guarantee.

I'm a Director with Mary Kay - if there is anything I can help you with - let me know! Cathy

Hi! As a MK consultant, I will tell you that the best thing to do is to use your timewise moisturizer during the day when a lighter moisture is needed, and replace it with the intense moisture at night. You can't really put too much moisture on your face, but your skin will only absorb what it needs...the rest will just feel greasy or heavy on your skin. Sounds like you have your good skin care routine down well! Keep up the good work!

That is a good question. You could go to the Mary Kay Web site. I always wonder about stuff like that too. In order to get the best answer, if you don't find a rep on here, then on their site, you can email them and they can help you. That is what I would do.
