men are like dogs..in many ways (as women are like cats in many ways). Most men would rather have a dog than a diamond. LOL!
Mankind likes dogs because you can interact with them. Men don't have this predetermined disposition to accessorize themselves with precious jewelry.
Skip the next paragraph if your sense of humor is lacking....
Men will wear big rings and gold chains (especially if your name is Vinny!).LOL! or skinny young white males wear chains because they think they are Vanilla Ice disciples. "Yo' from da 'hood y'all..wassup, now MF!" Is something they might say. "Ice, Ice, Baby.." Meanwhile they are getting their asses handed to them when some real worthless, ghetto, hoodrats bumrush their narrow asses, giving them a serious beatdown, then snatching the chains right off their pencil-sized necks. You want to be "ghetto" now? Eminem got lucky, somehow. Hey whiteboy, you ain't got it now stop making an as.s of yourself. If you continue to imitate ignorant rappers your life will be one headache after another. Stop it. Go to school, make some legit money, buy a car, buy a house, get married, have a kid or two then live happily ever after. Wearing jewelry and clothing with someone else's name all over it doesn't make you tough. It makes you look like a sell out consumer whore. You are demeaning yourself by advertising someone else's name and logo.
Anyway...I digress.
Women like jewelry because it gives them a sense of worthiness. It's a subconscious feeling that goes waaay back into historical societies. It most likely goes back even further into history.
What other reason does a woman hope to get a big diamond (say, maybe a 3 carat) rather than the 1.5 carat sized one her fiance mentioned??? It gives them a sense of worthiness!
And guys remember, you get what you pay for!

Dogs are men's best friends because they are always happy to see them, never ask for anything, & remain loyal even when they aren't around all the time.
Diamonds are a girl's best friend because it's one of the few things that lasts forever.

It's simple! Because some men tend to relate to dogs, while diamonds shine like a girl's personality. LOLz It brings out the best in a girl! Sike, I have no clue... Those sayings are silly.
