The dartboard has only two regions worth 9 points and 4 points. If you throw any number of darts, what is the largest positive score you cannot get?

I think it's 9*4 - (9+4) = 36 - 13 = 23.

You have to do a little work, I am not willing to do, But I will tell you the method to find the answer, you have to find a number that a combination of 9 and 4 cannot make, for example 15, you can not get the number 15 with a combination of 4 and 9, But the largest possible number you cannon get, would be immensly large since there are really big numbers that I am sure could not be made through a combination of those two numbers. 22=9+9+4

23=????

24=6*4

25=4*4+9

26=4+22

27=3*9

28=22+4

29 =4*5+9

30=22+8

31=22+9

Your question is a little confusing -- not sure what you mean by "largest positive score you cannot get".

Do you mean largest score you CAN get? If so, the answer is 18.

If you really mean largest positive score you CANNOT get, then there is no answer to that.
