At one time or another, someone has asked for cheat codes for games I have played. However, does having the cheat codes take the fun and challenge out of the games? Do they add to the gaming experience, or diminish the magic the game might have held for you?

I love to play RPG. And I love to follow the story-line. IF I get completely stuck, I'll try to find out online a way to get out of THE PARTICULAR situation...but I like to be surprised. One Christmas, I begged my parents to let me see the Phantom somewhere in my hometown - they wouldn't let me...problems, blah blah blah - they finally fessed that they had already gotten me tickets for BROADWAY!! Since then...surprise - good. Easy answers - not so fun. Each has to decide for themselves, but I like the thrill of solving the puzzles on my own - and the gratification when I'm right!

Cheat codes can take the challenge out of games but if you have beaten the game and want the ones that are funny (big heads or whatever) then they are fine I don't use cheats until I have beaten the game myself

It doesn't completely kill it, but sometimes a nice cheat code helps things along

Animal crossing needs a whole ton of cheat codes
