I called my husband's ex-wife homephone number because I found out that her and my husband is still communicating when my husband is at work. I know because I check on our bill statement account and view it via internet all the incoming and outgoing calls are being updated there every minute so I know whom my husband is calling. Me and my husband argue about still communicating with his ex-wife. Few months ago, when I try to dial my husband's ex wife the phone message says that "The number you dial IS CHECKING FOR TROUBLE please try your call later. I always try to call her number many times I think almost 3 months it says that the phone number is checking for trouble what do you mean by that" if it's disconnected the message would be "The number you dial is permanently disconnected but it's not. What do you think the reason why the number is CHECKING FOR TROUBLE

it could be a kind of call blocker she has on there depending on who her phoen company is, try calling her number from a pay phone or from his phone.

Your problem lies a lot deeper than her phone line. I'd work on the marriage, rather than keeping trying to call his ex.

However, if you must, then go to a pay phone and see if your call goes through. If it does, you know she has your phone number blocked.

You could also get operator assistance and have them check for you. Just tell them the recording you're getting and ask them to find out if there's trouble on the line.

Maybe she has a blocker installed.

The only reason he should be conversing with her at all is if they have children together and the conversations are about the children. Other than that, there is no good reason why they should still be talking to each other. I suggest you tell him firmly that this is something you are no longer going to tolerate from him.

ask your local phone company if that's a message that goes out when someone uses a service like call blocking or call screen, sounds like she has your number flagged to receive that message.

She probably has your number blocked. In some areas you can block your number before calling - if you REALLY want to call try that.

Hmm weird...is it the number or her answering machine saying that maybe she has had the phone company block your number? No idea maybe you should ask your husband?

It sounds as though she has your calls blocked at certain times of the day.

i think your husband told her about you having the number and she is having it changed..so in the meantime the telephone company has not updated the message.

if they have children they are talking about the kids, if not than there is something going on, and i would confront him and tell him how you feel about it. was he married to her when u met him, maybe some kind of revenge thing on her part. she is blocking your calls, she doesn't want to talk to u.

I have never heard of that. Try calling from a payphone.
