I come from a racially-mixed family (although I refer to myself as African American--easier to fill out questionnaires). My family's been in D.C. since the early 1800s. Good times and bad, believe me. I moved from my native NW section of the city to the SE section (still undergoing improvements) that's been considered AA since desegregation caused "white flight" 40 years ago. What a surprise to find two mixed race families who've been living on my block for decades! My husband is latino. Schools are currently still an issue, though I think the incoming may (also mixed race and a DC native!!!) is seriously moving to make changes for the better. Crime is a concern in every city. Children, whatever their race, have the same needs. My children (21 and 5) seem very happy.

Seattle Washington, I just moved from this area to Florida for work transfer reasons. The area is one of the friendliest I have ever lived in. It does have it's problems as everywhere does but for a well mannered and polite family it is a great place to live if your racially mixed or not. Check into it. If it wasn't for my work I would have never left after 20 years living there.

"end Libtardation" has a factor...in part. Whites and blacks have come through the four hundred some unusual years and if black human beings have even a touch white in them (no pun meant) then that's better than a chance that whites have some black in them. White human beings are doing DNA sorting out and sorting out that large-large grandpa/grandma replaced right into a mulatto. really some will admit it in spite of the actuality that. i will't say I blame them in spite of the actuality that...i do not declare the rape gene both.

New York, It would take a lot more than "gasp" a racially mixed couple to shock us.
